Academic Grant
Lake Grapevine Runners and Walkers supports a local Grapevine/Colleyville graduating senior through the annual scholarship program. This is made possible through the generous donations from Hop & Sting Brewery Co., Bear Creek Running Company, proceeds from the Bold in the Cold race and member contributions.
SCHOLARSHIP
Details

A $2,000 scholarship will be awarded for the first year of college.

It will be paid in two installments to the college, half in the fall semester and the remainder in the spring

Funds must be used in the academic year they are awarded

Eligibility
Candidates who meet the following criteria are encouraged to submit an application. Candidates must
-
be a graduating senior of Grapevine or Colleyville Heritage High School - or have a family member that has been a LGRAW member for at least the last two years
-
graduate high school with a minimum GPA of 2.5
-
be a track or cross-country participant in their junior and senior years
-
attend a two- or four-year college
SCHOLARSHIP
Determination
Applications will be judged on the following criteria:

overall academic record
-
high school athletic performance
-
extracurricular school activity/performance
-
volunteer hours
-
two letters of recommendation
-
written essay about how running has impacted your life and how your high school running career has prepared you for college
